eXcelon™

eXcelon is an exclusive breakthrough back-illuminated CCD and EMCCD detector technology that was jointly developed by Photometrics, Princeton Instruments and e2v Technologies. eXcelon tackles specific issues associated with bio-research applications. Its sensors provide imaging capability at ultraviolet and near-infrared wavelengths (200 to 1100 nm) with higher quantum efficiency and vastly reduced etaloning.

eXcelon technology is featured in Evolve 128 and Evolve 512 products.
