The CoolSNAP K4 camera utilizes a four-megapixel interline CCD with 7.4 x 7.4-µm pixel pitch. By perfectly matching the spatial resolution of the detector to that of optical microscopes, the CoolSNAP K4 eliminates the need for intermediate demagnifying optics.
